Show Attractions: Magic Tops in Exhibitor Survey Publication Las Vegas Exhibitor News - (Stephenson Press) by Jerry Lamansky -
The use of magic in the exhibit booth is one of the top attention
getting attractions, according to another survey recently
published in the exhibit industry. And it's easy to see why.
The product or service is incorporated into the presentation,
and when performed by a professional trade show magic specialist,
the crowds materialize "just like magic". His
client list reads like the "who's who" on the corporate
world. Many clients use Steve at multiple events each year.
His longest repeat-client relationship stretches for twenty
years. Apparently, once they get ahold of Steve, they don't
seem to want to let him go to a possible competitor at the
next trade show. Steve has assembled a team of artists, graphics people, exhibit designers and prop builders to offer clients a full array of related services. Says, Steve, "We can offer a simple presentation, presented on a small platform within your existing booth, or an elaborate illusion presentation utilizing custom designed props. We also offer consultation and design services for creating a whole new exhibit." Steve writes a special script for the presentations, and he incorporates the company information, product details, slogans, etc. He even uses the actual product whenever possible. He once made a car appear for General Motors, caused 500 new teacher's edition textbooks to materialize onstage for McGraw-Hill, and levitated the president of Speidel at their National Sales Meeting. But
Dacri's specialty is sleight of hand, which is why he draws
such a crowd when he starts working. In the trade show booth
magic, he does things with playing cards that should not be
possible for any human. Objects vanish and reappear in his
hands with the ease of a finger flick. At a typical hospitality
suite after the trade show floor closed, Dacri once made the
selected playing card appear on the OUTSIDE of a window in
a high-rise hotel. He creates many new illusions that can
be presented in his "pitch". He presents his show
about 4 times every hour, and by the end of the convention,
everyone knows who his client is and what their message is. Year
after year, many firms use Steve Dacri to add that necessary
spark to a trade show booth, or business meeting. If your company exhibits at trade shows, we can help make your booth one of the most talked about exhibits at the show. The main attraction is your message, your product or your services, combined with brilliant close-up magic, to produce a highly visible, crowd-stopping performance in your booth. Let Steve put his amazing hands to work for you.
